Considering Growing in Leadership this year?

team building

Unity Spiritual Center of Lansing is governed by a Board of Trustees, elected by the membership.

Currently we have an opening on our Board to complete a term which ends at our business meeting in March 2025.  This seat will be filled by appointment by the Board of Trustees.

Board of Trustees Pledge: Recognizing God as our Infinite Source and Power, we, the servant leaders of Unity Spiritual Center of Lansing, are anchored in the spiritual practices of meditation, tithing and visioning. Thank you, God, for the opportunity to love and to serve!

If you have an interest in serving in this capacity,

there are some steps you can take.

During the course of a year, situations sometimes arise where the board is looking to fill an open position.

In those cases, the board appoints some to fill the remainder of the term that year and then the appointee stands for election by the membership at the next Annual Meeting.   This is our current situation.  We are looking for someone to complete a partial Board of Trustees term which ends at the March Annual Members Meeting

  1.  Talk to a current board member to understand how the board functions.

Chrissie Shearer, Jeff Benoit, Jane Cloos, Jill Dening, Lucille Olson, Teresa Mulford

  1.  Attend a Board meeting
  2. Fill out an application form.  There are paper copies on the credenza in the Great Hall that can be placed in the 'mailbox".   You can also access an electronic copy that can be submitted via email to UnityLansingOffice@gmail.com.
  3. The Board is looking to fill the vacant seat by July.  So if you are considering it, do it now!

We affirm the divine order of being in service at the right and perfect time,

whatever that service may be.
